Best Time to Visit

There is no official entry fee for Kheerganga itself. Basic guesthouses, campsites or guides may charge per person; small donation or token fee may be requested at local cafes or for campsite facilities. The area is accessible year-round subject to weather and road conditions.
Accessibility
Trailhead: Barshaini (near Manikaran/Kasol) is the most common starting point for the trek. Reach Kasol by road from Bhuntar (Kullu-Manali Airport) or by bus from Bhuntar/Aut/Manali. Nearest airport: Kullu–Manali (Bhuntar); nearest major railheads: Joginder Nagar (narrow gauge) or Pathankot/Chandigarh for long-distance trains. The trek from Barshaini to Kheerganga typically takes 4–6 hours one-way depending on pace and stops. Private taxis, buses and shared jeeps operate in the valley to Barshaini/Manikaran.
Recommended Duration
Allocate 2 days / 1 night for a comfortable trek and soak; a longer 2–3 day trip lets you acclimatize, camp and explore nearby trails.
