Dudhsagar Falls ("Sea of Milk") is one of India’s tallest waterfalls and a major natural landmark on the Mandovi River, located on the Goa–Karnataka border within the Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary and Mollem National Park. It is ecologically important for the surrounding evergreen forests and supports diverse flora and fauna, including birds and wildlife of the Western Ghats, a biodiversity hotspot. Best Time to Visit

Weather Conditions
Tropical: heavy monsoon rains from June to September, humid and warm in other months. Expect slippery trails and muddy roads in monsoon; dry-season mornings can be cool.
Accessibility
Nearest railheads: Kulem (Collem) and Castle Rock; Kulem is the usual base for jeep safaris. Nearest major airport: Goa International Airport (Dabolim) — roughly an hour to 2 hours by road depending on traffic and exact route. Road access to Kulem/Mollem is available; from Kulem visitors take authorized jeeps into the sanctuary or trek along the railway track (note: walking on active railway tracks is dangerous and discouraged). Seasonal access restrictions may apply during heavy rains; hire authorized transport/guides.
Recommended Duration
Half-day to full-day trip from Kulem; if coming from Panaji/major resorts, plan a full day (including travel time) to comfortably visit and return.
