APR–JUN (Peak Season)
Weather & Temperature
Pleasant summer across most hill stations. Lower hills (Kangra, Una, Solan): 24–35°C days, 15–24°C nights; mid-hills (Shimla, Manali, Dharamshala): 12–25°C days, 6–15°C nights; high-altitude areas (Kinnaur, Lahaul–Spiti): 5–20°C days, -2–8°C nights. Mostly sunny with low to moderate humidity (30–50%); occasional pre-monsoon showers and late-afternoon thunderstorms, especially in late May–June.
What to Expect
Clear mountain views, blooming forests and orchards, open trekking routes at lower and mid altitudes, and the widest choice of hotels and activities. Popular towns get busy and prices peak. High passes begin to open progressively toward late May/June; some very high trails may still hold snow.
