Weather Conditions
Tropical climate: warm year-round with average temperatures around 24–30°C (75–86°F). High humidity with wetter months typically between November and March when short heavy showers and cyclonic season are possible.
Accessibility
Located on Praslin Island. Most visitors reach Praslin by a short domestic flight from Mahé (Seychelles International Airport, SEZ) or by ferry from Mahé or La Digue. From Praslin's main ferry/boat terminals (Baie Sainte Anne), it's around a 20–30 minute drive to the beach; limited roadside parking and a short walk/stairs lead down to the sand. Boats and water taxis from nearby islands may also visit. Facilities and public transport are limited — taxis, car rental, or guided tours are common ways to reach the site.
Recommended Duration
Plan for at least 2–4 hours to enjoy the beach; a half-day visit is common. Photographers and snorkelers may want a longer stay or to combine with other Praslin sights (e.g., Vallée de Mai).
Clothing & Gear Tips
Swimwear, reef shoes (rocky areas and coral), sunhat, high-SPF sunscreen (reef-safe preferred), light cover-up for sun protection, snorkeling gear (if you have it), plenty of water, and a waterproof camera or protective case.
