Beach time at Melasti
Swim, snorkel, sunbathe, or relax in a warung. Be cautious of currents and maintain distance from cliff edges.
Lunch at a local warung
Try grilled fish, nasi goreng, or typical Balinese dishes. Bring cash; some places don't accept cards.
Transfer to Pandawa Beach
Short drive (10–20 minutes). Enjoy coastal views along the way.
Explore Pandawa Beach
Walk along the beach, rent a sunbed, try kayaking or light snorkeling. Watch for local vendors and consider a short cliff-top viewpoint walk.
Sunset viewpoint and return
Head to a cliff viewpoint for sunset photos (if staying late) and return to accommodation or continue to nearby attractions like Uluwatu Temple.
Safety Requirements
Check tide and weather before entering the water; some spots have strong rip currents
Wear water shoes when climbing on rocks or walking near cliffs — surfaces can be slippery
Avoid standing too close to cliff edges; erosion can make edges unstable
Use reef-safe sunscreen and stay hydrated; Bali sun is strong year-round
Supervise children closely; no lifeguards at some beach sections
Respect local signage and restricted areas (especially near temple or private property access points)
Tips
Arrive early (07:30–09:00) to avoid crowds and get parking close to the beach access
Bring cash (small denominations) for entrance fees, parking, food, and vendors

Combine both beaches in one trip — Melasti for dramatic cliffs and Pandawa for calmer family-friendly stretches
Pack light snorkeling gear if you have it — rental quality varies
Hire a local driver for door-to-door convenience and to visit multiple south Bali sites in a day
Bring a dry bag for valuables, and a hat and sunglasses for sun protection
Be mindful of litter and support local businesses by buying drinks/food from warungs
