No entry fee. Market stall opening hours vary by vendor but the market is typically most active in the early morning through early afternoon. Exact hours may change with season and local practice.

Located in Thimphu and reachable by taxi, local bus or on foot from central parts of the city. Nearest international airport is Paro (approximately 50 km / about 1–1.5 hours by road), followed by a drive to Thimphu. Stalls are on level ground but check for limited ramped access in some areas.

Plan for 1–2 hours to browse, sample and buy; allow more time if you want to eat or shop extensively.

Wear layers and comfortable shoes. Bring a light rain jacket or umbrella during the monsoon season. Carry a reusable bag for purchases and small change for stalls.
