No specific entry fee for the pass itself. The site is open year-round, but facilities (cafeteria, stalls) have variable hours. The Druk Wangyal Festival has scheduled events and may require tickets or coordination with local tour operators.

Accessible by road on the Thimphu–Punakha highway approximately 45–60 minutes from Thimphu (depending on stops). Roads are paved but can be narrow and steep; public buses, taxis, and private vehicles are common. Nearest major airport: Paro International Airport (~1.5–2 hours from Dochula by car). Limited facilities for mobility-impaired visitors; paths around the chortens include steps and uneven surfaces.

1–3 hours for a typical visit (including viewpoints, short walks, and refreshments). Combine with a Thimphu or Punakha day trip for a full-day itinerary.

Warm layers, windproof jacket, sturdy walking shoes, hat and gloves in colder months, sunglasses and sunscreen for high-altitude sun. Camera with a zoom lens for landscape shots.
