Kempty Falls visit
Kempty Falls is one of Mussoorie's most popular waterfalls — a multi-tiered cascade set in a scenic valley about 13 km from Mussoorie Mall Road. The falls pour down from a height of around 40–45 feet into natural pools and rocky terraces, making it a favorite picnic spot and short nature visit for families and day-trippers. The area offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills and is easily accessible by road. Ideal for a half-day outing (photo opportunities, light paddling at safe spots, and picnicking).

Do not attempt to climb wet rocks or go too deep into fast-flowing sections.
Supervise children closely near the water and edges.
Check local advisories during/after heavy rain — authorities may close access.
Carry a small first-aid kit and basic emergency numbers (local police and rescue).
Tips
Arrive early on weekends/holidays to avoid crowds and secure parking.
Carry cash for small purchases — digital payments may not be accepted at all stalls.
Bring a lightweight rain jacket if visiting shoulder-monsoon months; the spray can make you wet even on clear days.
Keep valuables in waterproof pouches — camera/phone can get wet from spray.
Respect local rules and signage — swimming in strong currents is dangerous and often discouraged.
Combine the visit with nearby attractions (Camel's Back Road, Gun Hill) if you have a full day.
