Khirsu is approximately 19 km from Pauri Garhwal by road (approx 40–60 minutes depending on road conditions). Nearest major airport: Jolly Grant Airport (Dehradun) — roughly 150–170 km by road (3.5–5 hours approximate drive). Nearest major railheads include Dehradun, Rishikesh, or Haridwar; from these, travelers typically take road transport to Pauri and then local taxis/buses to Khirsu. Local roads are hilly and narrow; a taxi from Pauri is the most convenient option.

1–2 days is sufficient to enjoy Khirsu's core attractions (sunrise view, walks, relaxation). Combine with a stay in Pauri or other Garhwal destinations for a longer trip.

Pack warm layers for mornings/evenings, comfortable walking shoes, a light raincoat (monsoon), sunscreen and sunglasses for sunny days, and a hat. In winter bring a warm jacket and thermal wear.
