Robber's Cave (Guchhupani),Uttarakhand
Robber's Cave (locally called Guchhupani) is a natural river cave formation located near Dehradun in Uttarakhand. Formed by the erosion of sandstone and conglomerate rock by flowing water, it is an excellent example of karst-like processes in the Himalayan foothills. The site is a popular picnic and recreational spot for locals and tourists and holds recreational and geological importance rather than major historical monuments. It also contributes to the local cultural landscape as a well-known natural landmark in Dehradun.
