Peguyangan Waterfall,Bali
Peguyangan Waterfall (Air Terjun Peguyangan) on Nusa Penida is both a natural and cultural site: a cliffside spring and small waterfall flow down to sea level beside an ancient Hindu sea temple (Pura Peguyangan). The site is an important place of pilgrimage for local Balinese, who perform ritual purification in the holy water. At the same time it is renowned for dramatic coastal limestone cliffs and panoramic views of the Indian Ocean, making it a natural highlight of Nusa Penida.

Dry season (April–October) for calmer seas, clearer skies and safer stair access. Early morning is best for fewer crowds and cooler temperatures.
Weather Conditions
Tropical coastal climate — hot and humid year-round. Dry season: sunny and relatively calm; wet season (November–March): heavy rain, slippery steps and rough seas.
Accessibility
Located on Nusa Penida island — reach by boat from Bali (Sanur to Toya Pakeh or Sampalan). From the landing pier, expect a vehicle transfer (motorbike or car) and then a descent via steep cliff stairs. Not suitable for wheelchair users or anyone with serious mobility issues; steep, narrow and sometimes uneven steps.
Recommended Duration
Allow 2–4 hours including travel time from the pier, the descent/climb of stairs, visiting the temple and viewpoints.
Clothing & Gear Tips
Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes with good grip for the stair descent and cliff paths. Bring a sarong or modest cover if entering temple areas (can often be rented/bought locally), sunscreen, hat, and plenty of water. Swimwear underneath clothes is useful if you plan to wade in the pools.
Local Food & Souvenirs
Try local Balinese snacks and refreshments sold near popular piers or small warungs on Nusa Penida. Souvenirs include woven sarongs, local handicrafts, and small temple offerings. Support local vendors when possible.
