Saputara is Gujarat's only hill station, located in the Dang district on the Maharashtra–Gujarat border. Saputara is primarily accessed by road. Nearest major airport: Surat (drive of a few hours depending on traffic and route). Nearest railway access points include Bilimora and other regional stations; Waghai is the closest town providing road links into the Saputara area. Regular state buses and private taxis connect Saputara with Surat, Nashik and other regional centers. Roads are hilly—allow extra travel time; monsoon may affect road conditions.

Recommended Duration

1–2 days for a relaxed visit to key viewpoints and the lake. 2–3 days if you plan day trips to nearby waterfalls, villages and nature trails.
