Short guided walk around Feydhoo village and morning market (if present).
Try a local tea/short snack; respect private property and ask before photographing people.

Extend ride to learn more about WWII sites or relax on a quiet shoreline.
Safety Requirements
Wear a helmet and high-visibility clothing (helmets often included with rentals)
Carry bottled water and sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses) — tropical sun is strong
Check tide times if planning to explore shorelines — some paths and exposed reef edges can be slippery at high tide
Bring a basic repair kit or confirm rental includes puncture repair and spare tube
Follow local traffic rules; drive slowly through inhabited areas and respect fishermen and pedestrians
If joining a guided tour, ensure guide is certified and carries a first-aid kit
Tips
Book bikes in advance during high season — guesthouses and resorts can lend bikes but supply is limited
Rent a hybrid or beach cruiser with wider tyres for sandy stretches; e-bikes are great for less effort and longer loops
Carry some Maldivian rufiyaa (MVR) for small purchases; many smaller vendors may not accept cards
Dress modestly when passing through villages — cover shoulders and knees out of respect
Bring a waterproof bag or phone pouch — salt spray and sudden short showers are common
Combine cycling with a boat snorkel trip later in the day for a full island experience
