Best: November to April (dry season, calmer seas and most sunshine). Shoulder: May to October brings more showers and lower rates but can still be pleasant—watch for increased winds during the southwest monsoon.

Tropical maritime climate — warm year-round, typical temperatures about 25–31°C (77–88°F) with high humidity. Short tropical showers possible, especially in the wet season.

Nearest international gateway is Velana International Airport (MLE) on Hulhulé Island (Malé). Meeru is accessible from MLE by a scheduled or private speedboat transfer (approx. 50–60 minutes) arranged by the resort. No domestic flight/seaplane is usually required for Meeru; transfers should be booked in advance.

3–5 nights for a relaxing beach escape; 7+ nights recommended for divers or travelers wanting to combine rest with multiple excursions.

Lightweight cotton clothing, swimsuits, UV/rash shirts for reef snorkeling, reef-safe sunscreen, sun hat, sunglasses, a light rain jacket for short showers, water shoes if you plan reef exploration, and a snorkel mask if you prefer to use your own.

Try Maldivian specialties such as mas huni (tuna & coconut), fresh grilled fish and coconut curries at the resort’s Maldivian nights. Souvenirs: local lacquerware, woven mats, sarongs, and shell or coral-inspired crafts (avoid purchasing live coral).
