Approximately 10–15 km east of central Pokhara (about 20–40 minutes by car depending on route and traffic). Reachable by local bus, shared jeep, taxi or rented vehicle. Nearest airport: Pokhara Domestic Airport (around 15–25 km by road). Roads around the lake are mostly paved or gravel; some rural tracks may be uneven.

Half-day for a short visit (boat ride and lakeside walk); 1–2 days recommended to relax, take boat trips, explore villages and enjoy sunrise/sunset.

Comfortable walking shoes, light layers for mornings/evenings, a waterproof jacket in monsoon months, sun protection (hat, sunscreen) and binoculars for birdwatching.
