Düden Waterfalls
Düden Waterfalls are a pair of spectacular cascades just outside Antalya city center and a must-see natural attraction in the region. The Upper Düden (a park with springs and falls cascading into a gorge) offers shaded picnic areas, walking paths and a cave behind the falling water. The Lower Düden (the Sea Falls) dramatically plunge off coastal cliffs directly into the Mediterranean; viewpoints on the clifftop and boat trips give excellent perspectives. The site blends relaxed parkland walks with dramatic sea views — popular for families, photographers and nature lovers.

Itinerary
Arrive at Düden Park (Upper Düden) or park near the Lower Düden viewpoints (Lara coast).
If arriving from Antalya center, public buses and taxis are available. Allow extra time in summer for finding parking.
Explore Upper Düden Park: short trails, picnic areas and the caves/overlook behind the falls.
Paths are mostly paved but can be wet; wear comfortable shoes. There are small cafés and benches.
Drive/Walk to Lower Düden Sea Falls viewpoints.
Short drive (~10–20 minutes depending on traffic). Follow signs to the coastal clifftop viewing terraces.
Enjoy cliff-top views and optionally take a boat trip to see the waterfall from sea level.
Boat schedules are seasonal; reserve or buy tickets nearby. Boats give a unique perspective but avoid during rough seas.
Relax, photograph the sunset (if timing allows), visit nearby cafés or return to Antalya.
Combine with nearby beaches (Lara) or a stroll in Antalya old town (Kaleiçi) if you have more time.
Safety Requirements
Watch out for slippery rocks and wet walkways — wear sturdy footwear
Stay behind barriers at cliff-edge viewpoints and do not climb fences
Do not swim near the base of the falls — strong currents and submerged hazards exist
If taking boat trips, follow crew instructions and wear life jackets when provided
Be mindful of children near cliffs and fast-flowing water
Tips
Visit early morning or late afternoon to avoid peak crowds and harsh midday sun
Bring a light rainproof jacket or cover as mist from the falls can make you damp
Carry drinking water and sun protection (hat, sunscreen) in summer
Combine the visit with Antalya Old Town (Kaleiçi) or nearby beaches to make a half-day itinerary
If photographing, use a fast shutter for the sea falls or ND filter for silky-water shots at the upper falls
Check boat availability in advance in high season; prices vary and boats may fill up
Respect local signs and closures — some viewpoints are seasonal or closed after storms
Public transport: Take city buses toward Lara or Kızılsu and local shuttles; taxis are convenient if short on time
