Ephesus Ancient City — Main Pilgrimage Site
Full day exploring Ephesus, one of the best-preserved Greco-Roman cities and a key site in early Christian history. Visit the spectacular Library of Celsus, Great Theatre, Terrace Houses (House of the Rich), and walk the marble streets where early Christians lived and preached. Your guide will highlight biblical connections and archaeological context. Wear comfortable shoes — some paths are uneven.
House of the Virgin Mary & Basilica of St. John
Morning visit to the House of the Virgin Mary, a spiritual pilgrimage site located on Bulbul Mountain. Continue to Basilica of St. John in Selçuk, traditionally believed to be the burial site of St. John the Apostle. Explore the ruins and enjoy panoramic views from Ayasuluk Hill. Photography allowed at most outdoor areas; please be respectful at religious sites.
Ephesus Archaeological Museum & Şirince Village Excursion
Visit the Ephesus Archaeological Museum in Selçuk to see artifacts recovered from excavations, including statues, inscriptions, and early Christian relics. Afternoon excursion to the charming Greek village of Şirince — stroll narrow lanes, sample local fruit wines, and experience village hospitality. Optional: Attend a short reflection session or small group worship on request.
Departure — Transfer to İzmir
Morning at leisure for last-minute shopping or a short visit to Artemis Temple ruins site in Selçuk (limited ruins remain). Transfer to İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport for departure. Note: Schedule airport transfer time according to your flight; inform the guide in advance.
