Arrival in Shimla & Leisure Evening
Arrive at your pick-up point (Chandigarh/Manali airport or railway station) and drive to Shimla. Check into the hotel and relax. Enjoy an evening stroll on the Mall Road and visit the Christ Church for a peaceful atmosphere. Tip: Keep the first day light to recover from travel and adjust to altitude.
Shimla: Jakhu & Local Temples
Morning visit to Jakhu Temple (Hanuman) with panoramic views of the Shivalik ranges. Later explore Viceregal Lodge (exterior) and the local temples of Shimla for a gentle introduction to Himachali devotional culture. Evening free for personal puja or meditation.
Journey to Jawalamukhi (Palampur) & Darshan
After breakfast depart for the sacred Jwalamukhi Temple — one of the most revered Himachal pilgrimage sites. Perform darshan at the perpetually flaming shrine and explore nearby devotional spots in Palampur / Kangra valley. Overnight in the Dharamshala region.
Dharamshala: Dalai Lama Temple & Bhagsu Nag
Visit the Dalai Lama Temple Complex and the peaceful Namgyal Monastery in McLeodganj. Later, proceed to Bhagsunag Temple & Falls and spend time in contemplative surroundings. Evening visit to local markets for Tibetan handicrafts. Note: Respect monastery silence rules during prayer hours.
Norbulingka Institute, Kangra Fort & Baijnath Temple
Explore the Norbulingka Institute — a center preserving Tibetan art, followed by a scenic drive to Kangra Fort. In the afternoon, visit the ancient Baijnath Temple (Shiva), an important pilgrimage site with intricate stone carvings. Return to Dharamshala region for overnight.
Transfer to Dalhousie & Local Sightseeing
Drive to Dalhousie, set among deodar forests. Check-in and visit St. John's Church, Panchpula, and the colonial-era walkways. Evening at leisure — perfect for reflection and quiet rituals.
Khajjiar Excursion — 'Mini Switzerland' & Temple Visit
Short drive to Khajjiar, often called 'Mini Switzerland'. Enjoy the meadow and visit the Khajji Nag Temple — a serene local shrine. Return to Dalhousie for a relaxed evening and optional group aarti.
Drive to Kullu Valley & Manikaran
Depart early for Kullu. En route enjoy views of the Beas River and Himalayan valleys. Arrive at Manikaran Sahib — an important Sikh pilgrimage site famed for hot springs and gurudwara langar. Overnight in Kullu/Manali region or nearby stay.
Baijnath Revisit / Local Temples & Spiritual Evenings
Use this day for deeper darshan at Baijnath (if you prefer a quieter visit) or to explore additional temples in the Kullu valley such as local Shiva shrines. Evening includes a guided devotional session or optional group satsang to round off the pilgrimage energy.
Departure — Transfer to Chandigarh/Delhi
After breakfast, check out and transfer to Chandigarh/Pathankot/Delhi for your onward journey. Tip: Allow buffer time for mountain traffic; pre-book drop transfers to meet train/flight schedules.
