Nearest international airport: Paro (the closest gateway). Haa is accessed by road from Paro or Thimphu—expect winding mountain drives (approximately 1–3 hours from Paro depending on road and weather conditions). No direct commercial airport in Haa; high-clearance vehicles are recommended for local drives.

A day trip from Paro is possible, but 2–3 days are recommended to properly explore Haa Valley and its cultural sites and to allow for acclimatization and weather variability.

Layered clothing, warm jacket, hat and gloves for cold mornings/evenings, sturdy walking shoes or boots, waterproof outer layer during rain/monsoon season, sun protection and a basic first-aid kit.
