Andaman Sea (Phuket, Krabi, Similan) is calm and clear Nov–Mar; Gulf of Thailand (Samui–Phangan–Tao) can see heavier showers Oct–Dec due to the northeast monsoon. Northern highlands can drop to 12–18°C at night.
