November to February is Thailand's cool/dry season with temperatures of 24–30°C, clear skies, and minimal rainfall. This period has the highest prices and largest crowds. March to June brings temperatures up to 35°C but lower accommodation costs. The monsoon season runs June to October, creating rough seas on the Andaman coast (Phuket, Krabi) while the Gulf coast (Koh Samui) remains calmer July through September. Northern Thailand experiences morning temperatures of 15–20°C during winter months, requiring warm clothing. Peak season bookings for November through February should be made well in advance due to high demand.

Flying is the most convenient option with direct flights from major Indian cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad to Bangkok (BKK/DMK), Phuket (HKT), and seasonal flights to Chiang Mai and Krabi. Flight times are short: Kolkata (2.5 hours), Chennai/Bengaluru (3.5–4 hours), and Delhi/Mumbai (4–5 hours). Airlines like Thai Airways, IndiGo, Air India, and budget carriers operate these routes. There's no direct rail connection, and overland travel via Myanmar requires complex permits and is only recommended with specialist operators. Once in Thailand, domestic flights, trains, and buses connect major destinations efficiently.

Indian citizens can enter Thailand visa-free for stays up to 60 days for tourism purposes. This exemption applies to arrivals by air and land borders. Your passport must have at least 6 months validity remaining and blank pages for entry stamps. You must show proof of onward travel within 60 days and accommodation confirmation.
