Rajasthan's major tourist attractions include Jaipur's Amber Fort and City Palace, Jodhpur's Mehrangarh Fort, and Udaipur's City Palace complex. The Thar Desert near Jaisalmer offers camel safaris and sand dune camps. Pushkar features the sacred Pushkar Lake and Brahma Temple, plus its famous camel fair held annually in November. Chittorgarh Fort covers 700 acres and contains multiple palaces and temples. October to March offers the most favorable weather conditions for visiting Rajasthan. Daytime temperatures during this period range from 20–30°C (68–86°F), while nighttime temperatures can drop to 5–15°C (41–59°F). Summer months from April to June see temperatures exceeding 45°C (113°F) in desert areas like Jaisalmer and Bikaner. The monsoon season runs from July to September, bringing humidity and occasional flooding that can disrupt travel plans. Major festivals occur during the cooler months, including the Pushkar Camel Fair in November, Desert Festival in Jaisalmer in February, and Holi celebrations in March. Most outdoor activities and sightseeing are more comfortable during the October–March window.

Rajasthan has three major airports: Jaipur (Sanganer Airport), Udaipur (Maharana Pratap Airport), and Jodhpur (Jodhpur Airport). All three connect to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, and other major Indian cities through daily flights operated by IndiGo, SpiceJet, Air India, and Vistara.

The railway network connects Rajasthan through Jaipur Junction, Jodhpur Junction, Udaipur City, Ajmer Junction, and Bikaner Junction. Direct trains run from Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, and Bangalore. The Rajdhani Express connects Delhi to Jaipur in 4.5 hours.

National Highways 8, 11, 14, and 15 provide road access. State-run and private buses operate from Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh. Delhi to Jaipur takes 5 hours by road.

Rajasthani cuisine centers on wheat, lentils, and dairy due to the desert climate's limited vegetable availability. Signature dishes include dal baati churma (lentil curry with baked wheat balls and sweet crumble), gatte ki sabzi (gram flour dumplings in spiced gravy), and laal maas (red mutton curry with dried chilies). Cooking methods emphasize preservation techniques like sun-drying and pickling. Common street foods are pyaaz kachori (onion-filled fried bread) and mirchi bada (stuffed chili fritters). Traditional sweets include ghevar (honeycomb-textured dessert), malpua (pancakes in syrup), and churma ladoo. Hot air balloon rides operate over Jaipur during October to March, typically lasting 1–3 hours. The Aravalli Hills feature rock climbing and trekking routes near Mount Abu and Kumbhalgarh. White-water rafting occurs on the Chambal River during monsoon and post-monsoon months. Desert camping is available in Sam Sand Dunes and Khuri village.
