Arrival at Jaipur/Ajmer and Transfer to Pushkar — Evening Aarti at the Ghats
Arrive at Jaipur Airport/Railway Station or Ajmer Junction in the morning or early afternoon. Meet and transfer (by private vehicle) to the sacred town of Pushkar (approx. 2–3 hours from Jaipur, 30 minutes from Ajmer). Check in to your hotel, rest briefly and refresh.
In the evening, visit the Pushkar Lake ghats for the serene Aarti and a riverside walk. Observe pilgrims offering lamps, flowers and prayers around the holy lake. Enjoy a relaxed dinner at the hotel or a lakeside café.
Important: Flights or trains to Jaipur/Ajmer should be booked to arrive before late afternoon to fully enjoy the first day's activities.
Brahma Temple Visit, Savitri Temple & Sacred Pushkar Market
Begin your day with a guided visit to the world-famous Brahma Temple — one of the very few temples dedicated to Lord Brahma in India. Continue to the hilltop Savitri Temple for panoramic views of the town and the lake (a short hike or pony ride option available).
After the temples, stroll through Pushkar's colorful bazaars: explore shops offering religious artifacts, textiles, jewelry and camel-themed souvenirs. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant serving Rajasthani specialties.
In the evening, relax at the hotel or return to the ghats for another peaceful sunset experience.
Tip: Modest clothing is recommended when visiting temples; carry a scarf or shawl.
Optional Ajmer Day-Trip — Ajmer Sharif Dargah & Local Sights
After breakfast, take an optional half-day trip to nearby Ajmer (approx. 30 minutes). Visit the revered Ajmer Sharif Dargah — a major pilgrimage site for devotees of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti. Explore Ajmer's sights including the historic Adhai Din Ka Jhonpra mosque and the bustling local markets.
Return to Pushkar for lunch. Spend the afternoon at leisure — options include a guided heritage walk, pottery or local craft demonstrations, or a relaxing Ayurvedic massage.
Note: The Ajmer visit is optional and can be customized for devotees or omitted for more time in Pushkar.
Final Morning Rituals, Shopping and Departure
Early morning for those who wish to perform puja or take a final dip at the Pushkar Lake. Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and check out. Use remaining time for last-minute shopping in the Pushkar bazaars or a short photography walk capturing the town's iconic ghats and temples.
After lunch, transfer to Ajmer Railway Station or Jaipur Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey.
Tip: Allow extra travel time to Jaipur if departing by flight; traffic and seasonal festivals can cause delays.
