Arrival, Fort Walk & Gadisar Lake Sunset
Arrive at Jaisalmer (railway station/airport) and transfer to your hotel. After check-in and a short rest, begin with a guided visit to the majestic Jaisalmer Fort — explore its ramparts, temples and artisan shops. Walk through the old city lanes to visit Patwon Ki Haveli and Nathmal Ki Haveli to admire ornate sandstone carvings. Finish the day with a relaxed stroll at Gadisar Lake and enjoy the sunset reflections.
Tip: Carry a light jacket for evenings during winter months and wear comfortable shoes for walking on fort lanes.
Markets, Museums & Transfer to Sam Dunes for Camel Safari
Morning at leisure — visit local markets and the Jaisalmer War Museum or Bazaars for handicrafts and textiles. After lunch, drive to Sam Sand Dunes (approx. 45–60 minutes). On arrival, enjoy a leisurely camel ride into the dunes timed for a spectacular desert sunset. Reach your desert camp and check in. Enjoy a traditional Rajasthani cultural program (folk music & dance) around the campfire and savor a local dinner under the stars.
Note: Camel rides are gentle and last about 45–60 minutes; inform staff if you have mobility concerns.
Sunrise Desert Activities & Optional Jeep Safari
Start early with a dramatic sunrise camel ride across the dunes — prime time for photography. Return to camp for a hearty breakfast. Choose optional activities: Jeep (4x4) dune-bashing, sandboarding, or a guided village visit to meet local artisans and learn about desert life. Afternoon is free to relax or explore nearby dune viewpoints. Evening camp bonfire, cultural performances and a delectable Rajasthani dinner.
Tip: Book optional jeep safari and sandboarding in advance if you want guaranteed slots. Keep water and sunscreen handy.
Breakfast, Check-Out & Departure via Jaisalmer
After breakfast, check out from the desert camp and return to Jaisalmer. If time permits, make a quick stop at Sadar Bazaar for last-minute shopping or visit any missed haveli. Transfer to Jaisalmer railway station/airport for your onward journey.
Important: Standard check-out times apply — communicate your departure time in advance to arrange transfers. You can extend the stay or add an onward itinerary to Jodhpur or Bikaner on request.
