Jhalana Leopard Safari
Jhalana Leopard Safari is a short, accessible wildlife safari inside the Jhalana Reserve Forest on the outskirts of Jaipur, Rajasthan. The reserve is famous for its high density of leopards that can often be sighted from open 4x4 vehicles. The experience combines wildlife spotting (especially leopards), birdwatching, and exploring dry deciduous scrub forest close to the city.

Pick-up / Arrival & Registration
Arrive at the meeting point or hotel pick-up. Complete forest permit formalities and vehicle allocation. Carry photo ID for permit.
Morning Safari (primary slot)
Enter the reserve with a trained guide and driver. Search for leopards, nilgai, deer, jackals, and birds. Follow guide instructions and remain in vehicle.
Return & Drop-off / Debrief
Return to base, complete any exit formalities, and get dropped at your hotel or meeting point.
Evening Safari (alternate slot)
Another popular slot when leopards may be active. Similar duration and procedures as morning safari.
Safety Requirements

Always stay inside the vehicle unless instructed by the guide
Follow the guide's and forest department's instructions at all times
Do not feed or attempt to approach wildlife
Avoid loud noises, flashes and rapid movements that may disturb animals
Keep windows partly closed if instructed; do not stand on seats or extend cameras outside the vehicle unsafely

Choose the early morning slot for higher chances of sightings and cooler temperatures.
Carry binoculars and a telephoto lens (200mm+ recommended) for better wildlife photography.

Carry water, sunscreen, a hat and insect repellent; there are limited facilities inside the reserve.
