Indian citizens need Pre-Arrival Registration (PAR) for short visits to Hong Kong. PAR is an online registration system that replaces traditional visa requirements for eligible travelers. If PAR application is denied, Indian passport holders must apply for a visa through the Hong Kong Immigration Department or authorized agents. Hong Kong's public transport includes the MTR metro system, buses, minibuses (green and red), trams on Hong Kong Island, and the Star Ferry for harbor crossings. The Octopus Card is a contactless payment card accepted on all public transport and in many shops. Purchase Octopus Cards at any MTR station.
