Arrival & Acclimatization in Manali
Arrive in Manali (by road/air). Transfer to your hotel and spend the day acclimatizing to the altitude. Short walks and light sightseeing: visit Hidimba Devi Temple, stroll Mall Road, and relax at the Vashisht Hot Springs. Tip: Keep activity light on arrival day; drink plenty of fluids and avoid alcohol.
Manali to Keylong via Rohtang/Gramphu
Early departure across the famous Rohtang Pass (seasonal—may be subject to snow/permit restrictions). Descend into the Lahaul valley, passing scenic hamlets and rivers. En route stop at Gramphu and scenic viewpoints. Reach Keylong/Jispa by late afternoon. Evening at leisure to relax and acclimatize further. Note: Rohtang access depends on local regulations and weather.
High Pass Drive: Baralacha La to Sarchu
Today is a true adventure driving day. Cross Baralacha La with sweeping views of glacial valleys and high-altitude lakes. Continue across rugged terrain toward Sarchu, the iconic high-altitude camping ground on the border of Lahaul and Ladakh/Spiti routes. Evening camping experience (winterized tents when required) and star-filled skies. Prepare for a cold night; temperatures can drop significantly.
Sarchu to Kaza via Kunzum Pass & Losar
Descend from Sarchu and head towards Spiti Valley—cross Kunzum Pass, enjoy panoramic views, and stop at Losar for refreshments. Continue the descent into Spiti and reach Kaza, the valley's administrative and cultural hub. Evening orientation walk in Kaza Market. Altitude remains high; carry necessary medications and stay hydrated.
Kaza Villages & High-Altitude Settlements
Full day exploring the high-altitude villages around Kaza. Visit Kibber (one of the highest inhabited villages), Komik (a high-altitude village with panoramic vistas), and Hikkim (famous for one of the highest post offices). Finish with a visit to the iconic Key Monastery perched above the valley. Optional short hikes available around Kibber and Komik for acclimatized guests.
Tabo & Dhankar: Ancient Monasteries and Canyon Views
Drive to Tabo, stopping at Dhankar Monastery with its dramatic cliff-top perch and canyon views. Explore Tabo Monastery — often called the 'Ajanta of the Himalayas' for its ancient frescoes and well-preserved murals. Evening in Tabo village with a cultural walk and photo stops. Important: Some monastery rooms are restricted to visitors; respectful attire is required.
Pin Valley Excursion & Local Exploration
Day trip to Pin Valley National Park, a remote pocket of biodiversity home to rare wildlife like the snow leopard and high-altitude wildlife and Himalayan blue sheep. Visit Mudh and other small settlements, enjoy scenic walks and village walks and cafes in Kaza. Return to Kaza late afternoon. Vehicle timings in Pin Valley can be long; pack snacks and water.
Return Drive through High Passes to Keylong
Commence the return journey: ascend from Kaza, cross Kunzum Pass again, traverse Sarchu and Baralacha La, and continue towards Keylong. This long driving day showcases changing landscapes from Spiti's stark deserts to the greener Lahaul valley. Evening arrival and overnight in Keylong/Jispa. Roads are rough in places—expect variable driving times.
Keylong to Manali Departure
After breakfast, drive back to Manali through scenic Lahaul and the final stretch over Rohtang/Gramphu (if open). Drop at Manali bus stand or airport for onward journey. Trip concludes with fond memories of the Lahaul-Spiti road odyssey. Departure times depend on your onward travel schedule; confirm drop location in advance.

Himachal for Four Under Our Actual Budget
We were honestly expecting hidden charges somewhere — that's just how these things usually go. But TourGrids quoted us a package for Himachal covering hotels, cabs, and a couple of meals, and the final bill matched almost to the rupee. I travelled with my husband and two friends, and we did the math after returning — booking everything separately would have cost us at least 15–18% more, easily. Hotels were proper good, not some random guesthouses. The cab driver was reliable throughout. Our coordinator Priya was reachable on WhatsApp whenever we had questions, even small ones. Genuinely felt like the price was fair without cutting corners.
Our Himachal Coordinator Replied Within Two Minutes
My husband and I were a little nervous handing over a full Himachal trip to someone we'd only spoken to on WhatsApp. But the coordinator TourGrids assigned us — Priya — was genuinely on top of everything. Before we even reached Manali, she had already confirmed the hotel, shared the cab driver's number, and sent us a day-by-day breakdown. One evening our driver got delayed and she sorted it on call within minutes, no excuses. Hotels were proper good for the price we paid, and there were no surprise charges at checkout. The whole trip felt like someone was watching over it quietly. Really glad we went with them.
Cab Replacement Confirmed While We Were Still Panicking
We were halfway through our Himachal trip — somewhere between Manali and Kasol — when our cab driver suddenly said he couldn't continue due to a family emergency. My wife and I had no idea what to do. Called our TourGrids coordinator immediately and within 40 minutes a replacement cab was confirmed, driver details shared on WhatsApp, and we barely lost two hours. No extra charge, no runaround. The entire Himachal itinerary had been planned around our pace as a couple, hotels were proper good, and check-ins were always pre-informed. But that one moment on the road showed us what actually separates a good travel company from a random aggregator. Will be back for the next trip.
Woke Up to Perfect Hotels Every Single Morning
Honestly, the properties TourGrids picked for our Himachal trip were the real highlight. My wife and I were a bit skeptical about handing over hotel selection to someone else, but every stay — from Manali to Kasol — was proper good. Clean rooms, decent views, breakfast included without any last-minute surprises. The cab arrangements were equally solid. Driver showed up on time each day, knew the mountain roads well, and never rushed us. Whatever we flagged on WhatsApp, the coordinator sorted on call within the hour. No confusion at checkouts, no hidden charges. For a couple planning a hill trip without wanting to micromanage every detail, this worked out really well.
Himachal Itinerary Built Exactly Around Our Dates
I'd been putting off planning a Himachal trip with my wife for almost a year because coordinating everything felt overwhelming. A friend suggested TourGrids, so I messaged them on WhatsApp. Within a day, someone from the team called and actually listened — I told them we wanted less crowded spots and more flexibility on rest days, and they built the itinerary around that. No generic package. Cab timings, hotel preferences, altitude concerns for my wife — all noted and reflected in the final plan. Pricing was transparent, no hidden charges at checkout. The whole booking process took maybe three days total. Really did not expect it to be this straightforward.
