Arrival in Ahmedabad & Orientation
Arrive at Ahmedabad (Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport). Meet-and-greet followed by hotel check-in. Short city orientation: visit the Sabarmati Ashram and a drive past the historic Pols and Manek Chowk. Evening welcome briefing with your guide covering wildlife safety, boat-safari protocols and the plan for the Coastal & Marine itinerary. Transfer to Jamnagar — Coastal Arrival
Drive or short flight to Jamnagar, gateway to the Gulf of Kutch and the Marine National Park. Check into the coastal hotel. Evening at leisure with a sunset walk near the coastline. Note: Travel time varies by mode (road ~6-7 hours, flight ~1 hour to nearby airports + drive).
Marine National Park & Pirotan Island Boat Safari
Full-day excursion to Marine National Park (Gulf of Kutch) with a boat trip to Pirotan Island / designated marine zones. Activities include guided marine-watching, intertidal exploration, seabird spotting and optional snorkeling/snorkel-demo where permitted. Learn about coral communities, molluscs and conservation efforts. Wildlife sightings (dolphins, turtles, migratory birds) cannot be guaranteed but this area has very high biodiversity.
Jamnagar Local Culture & Khijadiya Bird Area
Morning birdwatching at Khijadiya Bird Sanctuary or nearby saline wetlands—excellent for migratory shorebirds and flamingos in season. Afternoon cultural exploration of Lal Pari Lake and local markets. Evening briefing for next-day coastal temple visits. Tip: Carry binoculars and sun protection for marshland birding.
Porbandar: Gandhi's Birthplace & Coastal Heritage
Drive to Porbandar (approx 2–3 hours). Visit Kirti Mandir (Mahatma Gandhi's birthplace), Sudama Temple, and scenic coastal viewpoints. Dolphin Safari & Diu Island Sightseeing
