Itinerary
Arrival, Orientation & Sunset at the Pink City
Arrive in Jaipur. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. After check-in, short orientation and camera-check session. Late afternoon drive to photograph the iconic Hawa Mahal facade and scenic views at Jal Mahal during golden hour. Evening welcome dinner with a briefing on composition tips and safety.
Photographer's tip: Carry a wide-angle lens and ND filter for sunset silhouettes.
Amber Fort Sunrise & Markets of Jaipur
Early morning shoot at Amber Fort to capture dramatic light on ramparts and elephant alleys. Return to the city for a heritage walk photographing the City Palace and Jantar Mantar. Afternoon dedicated to street and market photography in Johari Bazaar and Bapu Bazaar — great for portrait and textile close-ups. Sunset viewpoint at Nahargarh Fort.
Special note: Secure camera gear and keep a small cash reserve for market purchases.
Transfer to Jodhpur & Evening Ramparts
Drive to Jodhpur (approx. 5–6 hours). En route brief stops for landscape shots. Check-in and head to Mehrangarh Fort for late-afternoon and sunset photography — the fort's ramparts provide sweeping cityscapes of the bluewashed old town.
Photography focus: Use a telephoto for compressed views and frames of the old city from the fort.
Mehrangarh, Blue City Alleys & Bishnoi Village Experience
Sunrise shoot over the blue alleys below Mehrangarh. Explore narrow lanes for candid portraits and architectural details. After lunch, travel to a Bishnoi village for cultural portraits, traditional life shots and rural landscapes. Return to Jodhpur for evening market captures at Clock Tower & Sardar Market.
Tip: Respect local customs when photographing people — always ask, and offer a printed photo if possible.
Drive to Jaisalmer & Dune Sunset
Depart for Jaisalmer (approx. 5–6 hours). On arrival, short city orientation and late-afternoon transfer to Sam/Khuri Sand Dunes for a camel safari and expansive sunset photography session. Night in the desert for astrophotography and star trails.
Special gear note: Bring a sturdy tripod and remote release for long exposures.
Jaisalmer Fort, Havelis & Golden City Portraits
Morning inside Jaisalmer Fort — intricate jharokhas, narrow lanes and rooftop compositions. Explore Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli for detailed architecture. Afternoon free for scouting or optional guided portrait session in the fort's lanes. Sunset shoot on the fort walls overlooking the city.
Pro tip: Midday light can be harsh; focus on textures, shadows, and window frames for evocative images.
Bikaner — Forts, Palaces & Karni Mata (Rat Temple)
Drive to Bikaner (approx. 5 hours). Visit Junagarh Fort and the ornate Lalgarh Palace — excellent for architectural detail shots. Optional visit to Karni Mata Temple (Deshnok) to photograph unique religious rituals and the temple's famed rats — an unusual cultural subject.
Important: The Karni Mata visit can be sensitive; follow temple rules and photograph discreetly.
Pushkar Lakeside & Bazaar Magic
Drive to Pushkar via Ajmer (approx. 4–5 hours). Afternoon and evening dedicated to photographing Pushkar Lake ghats, Brahma Temple, and the lively Pushkar Bazaar. Ideal for market portraits, devotional ceremonies, and pastel-hued portraits at sunset.
Photography suggestion: Use prime lenses for low-light portraits around the ghats and a portable reflector for fill light.
Return to Jaipur & Departure

Rajasthan Itinerary Built Over Two Phone Calls
We had a rough idea of what we wanted — Jaipur, Jodhpur, maybe Udaipur — but no clue how to connect it all. Got on a call with the TourGrids team, told them our budget and that we're a couple who prefers heritage properties over regular hotels. They came back within a day with a proper customised plan, not some copy-paste itinerary. We went back and forth a couple of times over WhatsApp, tweaked a few things, and it was locked in. No hidden charges, everything was clearly explained upfront. The hotels they picked in Rajasthan were genuinely good choices. Planning something this detailed usually stresses me out — this time it just didn't.
Rajasthan With a Company We Had Never Tried
My husband and I were genuinely nervous handing over the full planning to someone we'd never booked with before. But from the first WhatsApp conversation, the coordinator was patient, clear, and never pushy. The Rajasthan itinerary covered Jaipur, Jodhpur, and Udaipur at a pace that actually felt like a holiday, not a race. Hotels were proper good — clean, well-located, and exactly what was shown to us. Cabs were always on time and drivers were decent. No hidden charges at checkout, which honestly surprised me the most. Every question I had before the trip was sorted on call within the day. Trusting a new company felt risky going in — it really wasn't.
First Time Trusting a Company, No Regrets
Honestly, I was skeptical about handing over the full planning to someone else. My wife and I had always done our own bookings, so this was the first time we actually trusted a company end-to-end. TourGrids took care of everything for our Rajasthan trip — itinerary, cabs, hotels, the works. Our coordinator Anjali was always reachable on WhatsApp and sorted our queries within minutes, not days. The hotels were proper good, especially in Jaisalmer. No hidden charges, no last-minute surprises. Whatever was discussed on call is exactly what we got on the ground. That reliability is what got us. We're already talking to them about our next trip.
Udaipur Palace Hotel Was Completely Worth It
We had booked a 7-night Rajasthan trip for our anniversary — just the two of us — and honestly the hotels TourGrids arranged were the highlight. The heritage property in Jaisalmer had a rooftop view we did not expect at that price point, and the Udaipur resort was proper good, lake-facing room and everything. What also stood out was the cab situation — every transfer was pre-confirmed, drivers were on time, and the vehicles were clean and comfortable throughout. No last-minute scrambling between cities. Our coordinator had everything lined up before we even thought to ask. Billing was transparent, no hidden charges anywhere. For a trip like Rajasthan, having that kind of ground support makes a real difference.
Rajasthan Cabs Arrived Before We Even Asked
We were a couple doing Rajasthan for the first time and honestly had no clue where to start. TourGrids sorted the entire thing over a few WhatsApp conversations — properties, cabs, the full route. What stood out most was the hotel quality. From Jaipur to Udaipur, every property was proper good — clean, well-located, nothing felt like a random filler booking. The cab arrangements were just as reliable. Drivers showed up on time, knew the routes, and the transitions between cities were never a headache. No last-minute confusion, no surprise charges. Someone was always reachable when we had questions. Rajasthan felt genuinely relaxed because the ground arrangements were just solid throughout.
Rajasthan Hotels Left Us Genuinely Impressed
We were a couple doing Rajasthan for the first time, and honestly I was a bit nervous handing over all the planning to someone else. But TourGrids really came through. The properties they picked — especially the heritage hotel in Jaipur and the resort near Udaipur — were proper good, way above what I expected at that price point. Rooms were clean, locations were central, no surprises at check-in. The cab arrangements were equally solid. Every transfer was on time, drivers were professional, and we never had to chase anyone. Our coordinator was reachable on WhatsApp throughout. No hidden charges at the end either, which I genuinely appreciated. Will be planning the next trip through them.
