Terrain around the lake is mostly flat with paved paths at the main visitor area; some nearby trails may be uneven—suitable for visitors with moderate mobility.

Plan 1–3 hours for Pookode Lake itself (a short boat ride, a lakeside walk and refreshments). Extend to a half-day if combining with nearby attractions or a picnic.
