Arrival in Wayanad & Leisurely Lake Walk
Morning: Arrive at your preferred entry point (Kozhikode station/airport or a private pick-up) and transfer to your resort in Wayanad. Check-in and refresh.
Afternoon: After lunch, take a relaxed visit to Pookode Lake — enjoy a gentle boat ride (optional) and stroll around the freshwater lake surrounded by hills.
Evening: Sunset at the resort or a nearby viewpoint. Brief welcome meeting to go over the next two days' adventure schedules and safety instructions.
Tip: Keep a light daypack, water, and comfortable shoes for short walks on arrival day.
Bamboo Rafting at Banasura Sagar & Banasura Hill Viewpoint
Early Morning: Drive to Banasura Sagar Dam (approx. 1–1.5 hours depending on your stay). Prepare for the signature activity: Bamboo Rafting on the reservoir — a serene, eco-friendly ride among islands and hills.
Late Morning / Afternoon: Explore the scenic surroundings and visit the Banasura Hill viewpoint for panoramic shots. Lunch at a local restaurant or packed lunch.
Evening: Return to the resort. Optional village walk to experience local life and spice gardens.
Important: Bamboo rafting is weather-dependent. Carry sunscreen and a hat. A basic life jacket will be provided by the operator.
Forest Trek & Wildlife Spotting (Muthanga/Tholpetty)
Early Morning: Depart pre-dawn to the selected wildlife area — Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary or Tholpetty Wildlife Range (based on permits and ranger guidance). Undertake a guided forest trek focused on flora, birds, and signs of wildlife; gentle to moderate trails depending on group fitness.
Midday: Return for lunch and rest at the resort.
Optional Late Afternoon: Short safari drive or birdwatching session near reserve boundaries (subject to timings and availability).
Safety Note: Treks and wildlife activities are led by accredited local guides. Carry binoculars, insect repellent, and closed-toe shoes. Respect wildlife — maintain distance and silence.
Local Sightseeing & Departure
Morning: After breakfast, check out and visit any remaining nearby attractions — suggestions include Kuruva Islands (if timing permits) or a quick stop at a local spice/coffee plantation for souvenir shopping.
Afternoon: Transfer to your onward station or airport. Drop-off and end of services.
