Nearest major rail head: Abu Road Railway Station (~27 km). Nearest airport: Udaipur Maharana Pratap Airport (~160–170 km by road); Ahmedabad and Jaipur airports are farther. Mount Abu is well-connected by road with regular buses and taxis from Udaipur, Jodhpur, Ahmedabad and other cities. Limited parking is available near the lake; steep or uneven paths may limit accessibility for wheelchairs in some areas.

Half day to one day to enjoy Nakki Lake and immediate sights; 1–2 days recommended to explore Mount Abu fully (Dilwara temples, viewpoints, local markets).

Comfortable walking shoes, light layers (evenings can be cool), a warm jacket in winter, sunscreen and hat in summer, and a raincoat/umbrella during monsoon. Bring a camera and binoculars for birdwatching/views.
