Itinerary
Arrival & Introduction to Andaman
Arrive at Port Blair airport/jetty. Transfer to your hotel and check-in. Afternoon visit to the historic Cellular Jail with an evening Light & Sound show that narrates the islands' history. Short walk or relax at Corbyn's Cove Beach if time permits.
Important tip: Domestic flight delays are common; keep an extra buffer for onward ferries.
Ferry to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock) & Coastal Birding
Early morning ferry to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island). Check-in and freshen up. After lunch, join a guided coastal birding walk into the island's dry evergreen forest focusing on endemic and migratory species. Evening visit to Radhanagar Beach for sunset and shorebird observations.
Bring binoculars and a light rain jacket during the monsoon months.
Mangrove Kayak Expedition & Marine Experience
Start early with a full-morning, guided Mangrove Kayak Expedition through sheltered mangrove creeks around Havelock. Paddle quietly to spot kingfishers, egrets, herons, mangrove warblers, and other tidal wildlife. Return for lunch; afternoon is free for optional snorkeling at Elephant Beach or a relaxed beach walk.
Kayak session is led by trained guides; life jackets and dry bags provided.
Return to Port Blair & Island Heritage
Morning ferry back to Port Blair. After check-in, visit Ross Island to explore historical ruins and observe resident birdlife (sunbirds, bulbuls). Later, drive to Mount Harriet or Chidiya Tapu (time permitting) for a late afternoon birding walk and scenic views.
Optional: Add a Baratang Mangrove & Limestone Cave day trip as an upgrade on Day 4 (requires an early start and extra cost).
Departure with Morning Birdwatch or Leisure
Early-morning birdwatching at Chidiya Tapu (subject to timing) or a relaxed breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Port Blair airport/jetty for departure. End of services.
Check flight timings and plan a short coastal birdwalk only if time allows.
