Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar, Dal Lake & Evening Pilgrimage Walk
Arrive at Srinagar Airport and transfer to your houseboat/hotel on Dal Lake. After check-in and some rest, enjoy a peaceful Shikara ride across Dal Lake — a soothing introduction to the Valley’s spiritual atmosphere. Later, visit the Hazratbal Shrine, one of Kashmir’s holiest Muslim sites located on the lake’s northern shore. Conclude the day with a short walking visit to the Shankeracharya Temple (view and prayers) overlooking Srinagar.
Travel tip: Keep a light jacket handy; mornings and evenings can be cool.
Shah-e-Hamdan (Khanqah-e-Moula) & Old Srinagar Heritage Tour
Spend the day exploring Khanqah-e-Moula (Shah-e-Hamdan) — the central shrine of Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani, a pivotal figure in Kashmir’s Sufi heritage. Visit Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta and stroll through Old Srinagar’s lanes to experience traditional bazaars, wood-carvings and religious life. Afternoon at leisure for personal prayers, quiet reflection, or shopping for saffron, pashmina, and prayer beads.
Important: Modest attire is requested when visiting religious sites. Shoes may need to be removed at some shrines.
Excursion to Pahalgam — Mamleshwar Temple & Scenic Valley
Drive to Pahalgam (approx. 2.5–3 hours). En route or on arrival visit the Mamleshwar Temple, a historic Hindu shrine near Pahalgam. Enjoy the tranquil beauty of Betaab Valley and the Lidder River; spend time for reflection by the riverside. Check in at your Pahalgam hotel and attend evening aarti/prayers where available.

Kheer Bhawani (Tulmul) & Ancient Temples — Martand & Avantipur
Return toward Srinagar with visits to the sacred Kheer Bhawani Temple (Tulmul) — a revered spring for Kashmiri Pandits — and to the archaeological remains of Martand Sun Temple and Avantipur (Avantiswami), showcasing Kashmir’s layered religious history. Spend time in contemplation at the spring and explore the temple ruins with your guide to learn the cultural significance.

Final Day — Local Markets, Optional Shrines & Departure
Morning at leisure for last-minute visits: consider a quick stop at Baba Reshi Shrine or additional time on Dal Lake. Shop for sacred souvenirs (prayer shawls, religious books, local handicrafts). Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight.
Remember to confirm your flight timings and allow extra time for airport formalities. If your schedule permits, request an early morning visit to Hazrat shrines for a calm devotion experience.
