Arrival, Welcome to Srinagar & Houseboat Stay
Arrival at Srinagar Airport and transfer to your iconic Dal Lake houseboat. Settle in and enjoy a relaxed afternoon with a guided shikara ride (subject to time of arrival) to experience floating markets and lakeside life. Evening at leisure with a traditional Kashmiri welcome and briefing for the Sonamarg daybreak plan.
Activities & tips: light stroll on the houseboat deck, photography at sunset, and rest early for the early morning departure next day.

Sonamarg Sunrise & Thajiwas Glacier Excursion
Pre-dawn departure to Sonamarg for the signature daybreak experience. Enjoy a scenic drive (~2–3 hours) along the Sindh River, arriving in time for sunrise. From the Sonamarg parking point, transfer on foot or by optional local pony/jeep to Thajiwas Glacier for an easy to moderate guided walk, glacier viewpoints, and snow-play depending on season.
Post-glacier, return to Sonamarg for riverside views, photography, and a relaxed lunch. Evening check-in at your Sonamarg lodge with time to enjoy alpine air and peaceful valley sounds.
Important: Wear layered clothing and sturdy shoes. Pony/jeep rides are available at extra cost and subject to availability.
River Views, Return to Srinagar & Local Sightseeing
Leisurely morning by the Sindh River with optional short walks along riverbanks and meadow views. After breakfast, drive back to Srinagar with scenic stops for photos and short walks. Afternoon dedicated to local Srinagar highlights: a guided visit to Shankaracharya Temple viewpoint (panoramic Dal Lake views), Mughal Gardens (Shalimar Bagh / Nishat Bagh), and craft markets for Pashmina and local handicrafts.
Evening return to your houseboat with time for a cozy dinner and reflection on the alpine memories.
Tip: Carry small local currency for craft purchases; haggle politely at markets.
Departure from Srinagar
Morning at leisure — final boat ride or lakeside walk depending on your flight schedule. Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey. Tour ends with warm farewells and optional assistance for onward travel arrangements.
Important: Confirm flight times and allow extra buffer for mountain road traffic or security checks.
