Arrival in Srinagar & Shikara on Dal Lake
Arrive at Srinagar Airport and meet your representative. Transfer to your hotel or houseboat. Unwind and enjoy a leisurely Shikara ride on Dal Lake at sunset — a quintessential Kashmir experience. Evening at leisure with dinner at the hotel/houseboat.
Srinagar: Mughal Gardens, Old City & Local Markets
After breakfast, enjoy a guided city tour visiting the Mughal Gardens — Shalimar Bagh and Nishat Bagh — with panoramic views of Dal Lake. Continue to the Shankaracharya Temple for a hilltop viewpoint overlooking Srinagar. Explore the historic lanes of the Old City and visit Jamia Masjid and local markets for Pashmina shawls and handicrafts. Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure.
Drive to Pahalgam via Anantnag & Awantipora
After an early breakfast, drive to Pahalgam (approx. 2.5–3 hours). En route, visit the archaeological site of Awantipora (optional) and scenic stops near Anantnag. On arrival in Pahalgam, check in to your hotel and explore Lidder River front. Optional afternoon visit to Betaab Valley or a short walk to Aruf Bagh. Evening free to relax.
Aru Valley Excursion & Nature Walk
After breakfast, take a short drive to the pristine Aru Valley. Enjoy easy nature walks, panoramic viewpoints, and optional pony rides or short treks suitable for families. Spend time taking photos of alpine meadows and the surrounding peaks. Return to Pahalgam in the late afternoon for an overnight stay.
Return to Srinagar & Departure
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Srinagar. Depending on your flight time, stop for last-minute shopping at Lal Chowk or visit additional sights as time permits. Transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey with fond memories of your Kashmir Family Retreat package.
