Itinerary
Arrival in Srinagar — Transfer to Gulmarg & Evening at Leisure
Arrive at Srinagar Airport/railhead and meet our representative. Enjoy a scenic drive (approx 1.5–2 hours) to Gulmarg, passing willow-lined valleys and rushing streams. Check in to your hotel/resort in Gulmarg. Spend the evening acclimatizing with a stroll around the Gulmarg market and the famous Gulmarg Golf Course (winter views). Tip: Keep warm layers handy — Gulmarg is at high altitude and temperatures fall quickly after sunset.
Gondola Ride to Apharwat & Introductory Ski Session
After breakfast, take the iconic Gulmarg Gondola. Enjoy Phase 1 and opt for Phase 2 (subject to weather and availability) to reach Apharwat Peak. Spend the day with a guided skiing introduction — learn basics from certified instructors, practice on gentle slopes, and explore snowfields. Capture sweeping views of the Zanskar Range and the surrounding meadows. Important: Gondola Phase 2 may operate on a weather-dependent schedule; bring photo ID for gondola tickets.
Full Day Skiing, Snow Activities & Meadows Exploration
Dedicate a full day to skiing or snowboarding (advance rental available). Alternate activities include snowshoeing, tobogganing, or a short trek to Khilanmarg and the scenic Gulmarg Meadows. Enjoy lunch at a mountain café (own expense) and relax in the late afternoon at the resort. Pro-tip: Book a private instructor for faster progress; advance booking in peak season is recommended.
Checkout & Transfer to Srinagar — Optional Dal Lake Shikara Ride
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Srinagar. If time permits (based on flight/train schedule), enjoy a serene Shikara ride on Dal Lake, visit the floating gardens and browse local handicrafts at the Lal Chowk area before your drop at Srinagar Airport/railhead. End of the Gulmarg weekend skiing getaway. Note: Flight timings determine whether a Shikara ride can be included; please inform us of your departure details in advance.

Kashmir Cabs and Rooms Both Left Us Speechless
We had been putting off a Kashmir trip for two years, mostly because neither my husband nor I trusted random operators. A friend suggested TourGrids, and honestly, the decision paid off. The hotels they booked — especially the houseboat in Srinagar and the resort in Gulmarg — were proper good, well above what I was expecting at that price point. What really stood out was how clean and prompt the cab transfers were. Every morning the driver was already waiting, no delays, no confusion about routes. The team sorted everything on call before we even landed. No surprise charges either, which matters a lot when you're travelling as a couple on a fixed budget.
Our Kashmir Coordinator Never Left Us Guessing
We booked our Kashmir trip through TourGrids for our anniversary, and honestly the coordinator assigned to us — Rahul — was the real reason everything went well. Right from the planning stage, he was available on WhatsApp at odd hours, patiently answering every small question my husband and I had. When our Srinagar hotel had a room issue on day two, he got it fixed within the hour without us having to chase anyone. The itinerary was properly planned around what we wanted — not some copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cabs were always on time. No surprise charges at the end either. That kind of support genuinely makes a difference when you're travelling somewhere new.
First Time Trusting a Company With Kashmir
I'll be honest — booking a full trip through a travel company felt risky to me. My husband and I had always planned things ourselves, so handing over Kashmir to someone else was a little nerve-wracking. But TourGrids genuinely surprised us. Our coordinator Priya was available on WhatsApp throughout, answered every anxious question without making me feel like I was being annoying, and the itinerary she built around our dates was actually thoughtful — not just a copy-paste package. Hotels were proper good, cab driver was punctual, no hidden charges when we settled up. The whole trip just... worked. That kind of reliability is rare, and it means a lot when you're travelling somewhere as beautiful as Kashmir.
