Arrival, Transfer to Private Houseboat & Evening Shikara Ride
Arrive at Srinagar Airport (Sheikh ul-Alam). Meet and greet by our representative and take a private transfer to your quintessential private houseboat on Dal Lake. Settle in, enjoy welcome Kashmiri kahwa and snacks. Spend your late afternoon on a romantic shikara ride—cruise past floating gardens, lotus blooms and local life. Dinner on board and overnight in the houseboat.
Tip: Request a sunset shikara cruise for the most romantic lighting for photos.
Mughal Gardens & Local Srinagar Sightseeing
After a relaxed breakfast on the houseboat, head out to explore the famed Mughal Gardens—Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi—set against the backdrop of Dal Lake and the Zabarwan Range. Enjoy a leisurely stroll, photograph terraced gardens and fountains, and learn about Mughal-era landscaping. In the afternoon visit the Old City, the scenic Hazratbal Shrine, and indulge in Kashmiri saffron and dry-fruit shopping at the local markets. Return to the houseboat for dinner and overnight stay.
Note: Gardens are best visited early morning or late afternoon to avoid mid-day crowds.
Day Trip to Gulmarg — Meadows & Gondola (Optional)
Early breakfast and depart for a full-day excursion to Gulmarg (approx. 1.5–2 hours each way). Explore the emerald meadows, take a romantic walk, and opt for the Gulmarg Gondola—one of the world's highest cable cars (Phase 1 and Phase 2 tickets optional). Enjoy panoramic Himalayan views and, depending on season, activities such as pony rides, short hikes, or snow play. Return to your houseboat in Srinagar for a relaxed evening and overnight.
Important: Gondola tickets are subject to availability and may require advance booking; Phase 2 operates seasonally.
Morning at Dal Lake & Departure
Enjoy a final leisurely breakfast on the houseboat. Optional early-morning shikara ride for sunrise photos or a visit to the floating vegetable gardens and local handicraft sellers. Check out and depart with private transfer to Srinagar Airport for your onward flight.
Tip: Allow ample time for airport transfer and security checks, especially during peak season.
