Arrival at Bagdogra/NJP and Transfer to Gangtok
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or NJP Railway Station and meet your representative. Enjoy a scenic drive to Gangtok (approx. 4-5 hours). Check-in at the hotel and relax. In the evening explore MG Road for shopping, local cafes and a gentle stroll. Tip: Keep hydrated and take it easy on arrival to acclimatize.
Gangtok to Pelling via Temi Tea Garden
After breakfast, depart for Pelling (approx. 4-5 hours). En route enjoy stops at the picturesque Temi Tea Garden and short viewpoints for mountain panoramas. Check-in at the hotel in Pelling and unwind. In the late afternoon visit a nearby sunset viewpoint for your first Himalayan sunset experience. Family tip: Short photo stops and a tea break at Temi are perfect for kids to stretch their legs.
Pelling: Monasteries, Lakes & Sunset Points
Full-day sightseeing around Pelling. Visit the historic Pemayangtse Monastery, explore the serene Khecheopalri Lake (sacred wish-fulfilling lake), and walk around the ruins of Rabdentse. Don't miss Singshore Bridge — one of India's highest bridges — and an iconic sunset point overlooking deep valleys. Return to hotel. Tip: Early morning or late afternoon offers the best light for photos.
Departure: Return to Bagdogra/NJP
After breakfast check out and begin the drive back to Bagdogra Airport / NJP (timing depends on your departure schedule). En route you may stop at local viewpoints or a quick visit to Namchi if time permits. Arrive at the airport/station and board your onward transport. Important: Confirm your onward travel time in advance to avoid rush.
