Arrival, Transfer to Gangtok & Evening Leisure
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station and meet your driver. Transfer to Gangtok (approx. 4-5 hours) with scenic views en route. Check in at your hotel and relax. In the evening, take a leisurely stroll on MG Marg, explore local shops and try Sikkimese snacks. Early arrival recommended to acclimatize; avoid strenuous activity on day of arrival.
Drive to Lachung via Mangan & Chungthang — Village Walk
After breakfast, depart for Lachung (approx. 6-7 hours) via Mangan and Chungthang. The drive takes you through lush pine forests, rivers and waterfalls. Stop at scenic viewpoints including Singhik Viewpoint and the Seven Sisters Waterfall for photographs. Arrive in Lachung, check-in, and enjoy a relaxed village walk to experience local culture. Carry warm clothing — mountain nights can be chilly.
Yumthang Valley Spring Bloom & Hot Springs Excursion
Early morning drive to Yumthang Valley (Yumthang is often carpeted with blooming rhododendrons and spring flowers). Explore the valley's meadows, take photos of the panoramic Himalayan backdrop and enjoy a gentle walk. Optionally proceed to Yumesamdong (Zero Point) — an additional short drive/walk depending on weather and road conditions. On return, visit the natural Yumthang Hot Springs for a warm soak (seasonal). Return to Lachung for dinner and overnight. Zero Point may require special permission and is subject to road access.
Return to Gangtok with En Route Stops & Leisure Evening
After breakfast, check out and drive back to Gangtok. En route, enjoy panoramic valley views and short photo stops. Arrive in Gangtok by evening, check in to your hotel and spend the night at leisure. Consider a calm evening at the hotel or a short visit to a local café. Keep some local currency handy for small purchases on the route.
Departure — Transfer to Bagdogra / NJP
After breakfast, complete hotel formalities and transfer to Bagdogra Airport / NJP Railway Station for your onward journey. If time permits, quick shopping or a short visit to Enchey Monastery or local market in Gangtok can be arranged. Ensure timely check-out and allow adequate travel time to the airport/railway station.
