Arrival, Settling-in and Evening at MG Road
Welcome to Gangtok. Arrive at Bagdogra Airport / New Jalpaiguri Railway Station and transfer (approx 4–5 hours) to Gangtok. Check-in to your hotel, unwind and acclimatize to the altitude. In the evening, take a romantic stroll along MG Road, enjoy local cafes, street eats and light shopping. Perfect first-day relaxation for honeymooners.
Driver will brief you on the next day's plan. Keep hydration and light layers ready.
Tsomgo Lake, Baba Harbhajan Mandir and Optional Nathu La
After breakfast, take a scenic drive to Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake) — a glacial lake framed by mountains. Spend time soaking in the views and capturing romantic photos; yak rides are available (extra cost). Visit Baba Harbhajan Mandir nearby, a small but poignant shrine with local lore.
Optional: If you have pre-arranged permits, extend the excursion to Nathu La Pass (subject to weather and government clearances). Return to Gangtok by evening for a relaxed dinner.
Tip: Weather can be chilly—carry warm clothes and sunscreen for high-altitude sun.
Gangtok Cultural Tour: Monasteries, Viewpoints and Local Flavors
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before exploring Gangtok's cultural highlights. Visit the serene Rumtek Monastery, a major centre of Tibetan Buddhism, and the peaceful Enchey Monastery perched above the town. Stop at Tashi Viewpoint for sweeping vistas of Kanchenjunga (weather permitting). In the afternoon, explore the Flower Exhibition Centre or the Directorate of Handicrafts for souvenirs. Evening free for a private walk or candlelit dinner (arrangeable on request).

Leisure Morning and Departure
Spend a leisurely final morning—a relaxed breakfast and time for any last-minute shopping on MG Road or a short visit to Hanuman Tok for final mountain views.
