Arrival in Ho Chi Minh City — Transfer & Overnight
Arrive at Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City). Our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy an orientation briefing about the Con Dao Islands Diving & Marine Life itinerary and dive safety procedures. Prepare and check your diving paperwork and equipment for tomorrow's flight to Con Dao.
Fly to Con Dao — Intro Dive / Snorkel & Island Orientation
Morning domestic flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Con Dao Airport. Transfer to the dive center and complete check-in. After a safety brief and gear setup, enjoy an introductory snorkel or a short guided dive at nearby shallow reefs to acclimate. Evening orientation covering marine life, dive sites, and conservation activities. Rest early for a full dive schedule starting tomorrow.
Full Day Diving — Explore Coral Reefs & Marine Biodiversity
Two guided boat dives focusing on the vibrant coral gardens and reef slopes surrounding Con Dao. Learn to identify reef fish, nudibranchs, and resident species such as anemonefish and parrotfish. Afternoon free time on a pristine beach or optional equipment tuning. Evening: short walk to spot coastal birdlife and sunset over the archipelago.
Advanced Dive Sites — Deep Reefs & Macro Life
Today's two boat dives visit deeper reef walls and bommies known for larger pelagics and vibrant macro life. Keep an eye out for rays, reef sharks, and schooling fish. Afternoon visit to Con Dao National Park visitor center for an interpretive walk and talk about local ecosystems and wildlife protection projects.
Marine Conservation Experience & Night Dive Option
Participate in a hands-on marine conservation activity — a beach clean-up or a guided session at the Turtle Conservation & Rescue Center to learn about nesting seasons and rehabilitation efforts. After dinner, choose an optional guided night dive/snorkel to dive and see nesting turtles (seasonal) and experience nocturnal reef life and bioluminescent phenomena.
Full-Day Boat Safari to Remote Reefs — Peak Wildlife Viewing
A full-day boat trip to more remote outer reefs and seamounts: multiple dives and surface intervals on board with picnic lunch. This day focuses on larger marine fauna — eagle rays, groupers, and the chance to encounter sea turtles in their feeding grounds. Evening free; review underwater footage with your guide.
Final Dive Sessions & Cultural Shore Excursion
Morning: one or two easy dives to revisit favorite sites or conduct a short underwater photo session. Afternoon shore excursion to historical and cultural sites on Con Son island (optional), such as the Con Dao Prison memorial sites and local market. Farewell dinner featuring fresh seafood and a review of your marine wildlife sightings.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City & Departure
Early morning transfer to Con Dao Airport for the domestic flight back to Ho Chi Minh City. Connect with your international flight home or continue travel arrangements. If departing later, we can arrange city tours or baggage storage. End of the 7-night, 8-day Vietnam Wildlife tour package.
