Itinerary
Arrival in Kochi — Welcome to Kerala
Arrive at Cochin International Airport and meet your private driver. Transfer to your boutique/5-star hotel in Fort Kochi. Spend the afternoon exploring the historic quarter: Chinese Fishing Nets, St. Francis Church, Dutch Palace (Mattancherry Palace) and the atmospheric Jew Town with its spice shops and antiques. Evening at leisure with a curated welcome dinner showcasing Keralan cuisine.
Tip: Carry a light jacket for coastal breezes and a reusable water bottle.
Kochi to Munnar — Scenic Drive into the Western Ghats
After breakfast, drive approximately 4–5 hours to Munnar, passing rubber plantations and scenic viewpoints. Check in to a luxury tea-bungalow or resort. Afternoon at leisure or a short walk through tea gardens. Evening spice tasting and a private chef demonstration (optional).
Note: The drive includes winding mountain roads; travel times vary with traffic.
Munnar — Tea, Views and Eravikulam
Full-day exploration of Munnar: visit Eravikulam National Park (home to the Nilgiri Tahr), Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and the Tea Museum. Enjoy panoramic viewpoints and a guided tea estate tour with tastings. Return to your resort for dinner prepared by your private chef or the hotel kitchen.
Important: Entry to Eravikulam is seasonal and requires advance tickets — we can arrange prior bookings.
Munnar to Thekkady — Spice Trails & Wildlife
Drive to Thekkady (Periyar) after breakfast. Check in to a luxury eco-lodge or heritage resort. Participate in a guided spice plantation walk, learn about pepper, cardamom and vanilla, and enjoy a traditional Kerala cooking demo if scheduled. In the evening, optional cultural performances like Kathakali or Kalaripayattu.
Tip: Spice plantation visits are excellent for photography and purchasing fresh spices directly from growers.
Periyar Lake Boat Cruise — Wildlife & Village Life
Morning boat cruise on Periyar Lake to spot elephants, deer and rich birdlife along the forest edge. After lunch, drive to Alleppey (Alappuzha) — the gateway to Kerala backwaters. Board your private luxury houseboat with chef in late afternoon, and begin a tranquil cruise through palm-lined canals and paddy fields. Evening dinner on board featuring freshly cooked Keralan specialties.
Note: Wildlife sightings are seasonal and cannot be guaranteed.
Backwaters & Village Canoe Ride — Immersive Houseboat Day
Spend a full day cruising on your private houseboat. Glide past villages, coir-making workshops and lush paddy fields. Arrive at quiet canals for a guided canoe ride (vallam or shikara) into narrower waterways to meet locals and observe daily life. Chef prepares fresh seafood and local vegetarian dishes onboard.
Important: Houseboat routes are flexible — we tailor pace and stops to your preference.
Disembark & Transfer to Kovalam — Beach Time Begins
Disembark from the houseboat after breakfast and drive to Kovalam Beach (approx. 3–4 hours). Check in to a beachfront resort. Spend the afternoon on Lighthouse Beach, swimming or enjoying an Ayurvedic massage (optional). Sunset at the promontory and a seafood dinner at a seaside restaurant or resort.
Tip: Kovalam is one of the best spots in Kerala for sunset views — bring swimwear and sun protection.
Kovalam — Relaxation & Departure
Morning at leisure on Kovalam Beach — optional yoga, Ayurvedic spa treatments or a short trip to Trivandrum for the Padmanabhaswamy Temple and local markets. After lunch, transfer to Trivandrum International Airport (Thiruvananthapuram) for your onward flight.
Important: Check flight timings before booking outbound plans; we can arrange late checkout or extra nights on request.

Kerala Itinerary Built Around Our Exact Preferences
My wife and I had been putting off this Kerala trip for two years because the planning felt overwhelming. A friend suggested TourGrids, and honestly, one call with their team changed everything. The coordinator sat on the phone with me for almost forty minutes, asking what we actually wanted — backwaters, hill stations, or beaches — and built the itinerary around that. No generic package was pushed on us. Hotels were proper good, the cab driver was reliable throughout, and every checkpoint in the trip matched what we had discussed. Pricing was transparent from the start, no hidden charges surfacing later. What I appreciated most was how little I had to think once the booking was done.
Kerala Houseboat Rebooked While We Were Still Upset
We had confirmed a houseboat stay in Alleppey for our anniversary, and two days before, the operator cancelled without warning. My wife was really disappointed — this was the one thing she had been looking forward to the whole trip. I called our coordinator at TourGrids around 9 PM expecting to hear 'we'll try', but by next morning he had a replacement houseboat booked, same stretch, actually better reviews than the original. No extra charge, no back and forth. Rest of the Kerala itinerary — Munnar, Fort Kochi, the drives — everything ran exactly as planned. Hotels were proper good, cabs were always on time. This was our first time booking through a travel company and honestly it removed so much weight from the trip.
Kerala Took Shape Before I Touched a Browser
I was planning a Kerala trip for my wife and me and honestly had no idea where to start — backwaters, hill stations, beaches, it felt overwhelming. A friend suggested TourGrids, so I dropped them a message on WhatsApp. Within the hour, someone from their team called and just asked us what kind of trip we wanted. No sales pitch, proper conversation. Two calls later, the itinerary was ready — Munnar, Alleppey houseboat, Kovalam, all sequenced properly with cab transfers included. They adjusted the houseboat night when I asked, no fuss. Hotels were proper good, no hidden charges at the end. Planning something this detailed usually stresses me out, but this time it genuinely did not.
Kerala Hotels and Cabs Left Nothing to Complain
Travelled to Kerala with my wife last month and honestly the accommodations TourGrids arranged were the highlight. We stayed at a proper resort in Munnar and a lovely heritage property in Alleppey — both were well above what I'd have found on my own at that budget. No compromise on cleanliness or location. The cab transfers were equally solid — same driver for most legs, always on time, comfortable vehicle. No last-minute confusion about pickups or drop timings. Our coordinator Priya had everything pre-confirmed and shared details on WhatsApp the night before each transfer. We just had to show up. For a couple wanting a relaxed Kerala trip without the usual booking chaos, this worked out really well.
Kerala With a Stranger I Ended Up Trusting
First time booking through a travel company — I'd always planned trips myself because I didn't trust anyone with my money or my holiday. A colleague suggested TourGrids, so I got on a call with them before committing anything. They listened properly, no upselling, just asked what my wife and I actually wanted from Kerala. The itinerary they sent back felt personal — Alleppey, Munnar, the right balance of relaxed and packed. Hotels were proper good, cabs were always on time, and no hidden charges when we settled the final bill. The coordinator was reachable throughout, even when we had a small room query at night. Took one trip to change how I travel.
Kerala Houseboat Date Changed, Nobody Panicked But Them
Two days before our Alleppey houseboat stay, my husband realised he'd mixed up the dates on his leave — we needed to shift everything by one day. I was sure it was going to be a mess. Called our TourGrids coordinator around 8 PM, fully expecting bad news. He checked availability, spoke to the property, and had it sorted within the hour. Hotel in Munnar also got adjusted without any fuss. No extra charges were added without explanation, and he kept us updated through WhatsApp the whole time. Rest of the Kerala trip went exactly as planned — backwaters, spice gardens, the works. Genuinely relieved we didn't try to plan this ourselves.
