Tropical climate: hot and humid with a wet season (November–April) that can bring heavy showers and cyclone risk; drier and cooler May–October.

Nearest airport: Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International (MRU) ~15–25 km (20–35 minutes by car). Reachable by road via Mahebourg; public buses go to Mahebourg and you can take a short taxi/tuk‑tuk ride to the trailhead. The trail is short but may be uneven — not wheelchair accessible.

1–3 hours (including travel, ascent, time at the summit and a short visit to Mahebourg if desired).

Wear sturdy walking shoes, bring sun protection (hat, sunscreen), plenty of water, insect repellent and a light rain jacket in the wet season.

After the visit try fresh seafood and local specialties in Mahebourg (dholl puri, gateau piment). Souvenirs include local rum, handcrafted woven baskets, carved wood items and tea.
