Arrive at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport and transfer to your southwest base near Flic en Flac / Tamarin. Settle into your hotel and meet your local guide for a briefing on the next days. Enjoy a gentle coastal walk to unwind and capture your first Mauritian sunset.
Activities include airport pickup, brief orientation and a light sunset stroll along the beach.

Full-Day Black River Gorges National Park Hike
A full day dedicated to exploring Black River Gorges National Park with your qualified guide. Choose from classic routes to match your fitness level — from panoramic ridge walks to denser forest trails. Expect endemic flora, birdlife (including the Mauritius kestrel sightings when lucky), and dramatic viewpoints.
Highlights of the day: guided trail navigation, picnic lunch at a scenic viewpoint, photo stops and a visit to Black River Peak lookout.
Important: Trail difficulty can be moderate to challenging depending on route choice. Wear good hiking shoes and bring water.
Chamarel Village, Seven Colored Earths & Rhumerie
Explore the southwestern geological and cultural highlights. Start with scenic drives to Chamarel Village and the famed Seven Colored Earths, followed by the dramatic Chamarel Waterfall. In the afternoon, visit Rhumerie de Chamarel for a guided rum tasting and insight into local production.
The day blends short walks and viewpoints with cultural tasting experiences.
Tip: The viewpoint areas can be windy; bring a light jacket.
Dolphin Encounter or Le Morne Brabant Hike (Choose Your Adventure)
Today you can choose between two signature experiences depending on your preference and weather:
Option A — Early Dolphin-watching & Snorkeling: Depart pre-dawn to Tamarin Bay for a responsible dolphin encounter and optional snorkeling around nearby reefs. Return mid-day and relax on the beach.
Option B — Le Morne Brabant Hike (UNESCO): Hike the striking Le Morne Brabant for sweeping coastal panoramas and cultural history. This climb is steep and rewarding; suitable for fit hikers.
Note: Dolphin excursions depend on sea conditions and local regulations. Le Morne hike may be subject to park rules and guide availability.
Leisure Morning & Departure Transfer
Enjoy a relaxed final morning — choose a short beach walk, souvenir shopping in a local market, or an optional short nature walk near your base. After checkout, transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
