Spend the day exploring Pettah Market for spices, fresh produce and snacks. Join a guided Colombo street food tour to taste favorites such as kottu roti, hoppers (appa), short eats, and samosas. Visit the National Museum, the colonial waterfront, and take an evening tuk-tuk ride to explore hidden food stalls. Scenic Train to Galle and Galle Fort Food Walk
Travel by scenic coastal train to Galle (approx. 2.5–3 hours). On arrival enjoy a curated Galle Fort Food Walk—seafood tastings, local sweets and the best roti shops inside the UNESCO-listed fort. Explore the fort's ramparts, Dutch architecture and artisanal boutiques. Return to the waterfront for sunset photos and a relaxed seafood dinner.
