Arrival, Transfer to Thekkady & Spice Plantation Check-in
Arrival at Cochin International Airport / Ernakulam Railway Station. Meet our representative and enjoy a scenic drive (approx 4–4.5 hours) through Kerala's lush landscapes to Thekkady. Arrive at your eco-friendly spice plantation stay and check-in.
Evening: Take a guided spice plantation walk to learn about cardamom, pepper, cinnamon, clove, and other spices. Enjoy a traditional Kerala dinner at the lodge.
Note: Early/late arrivals can be accommodated; please inform us in advance for pickup timings.
Periyar Lake Boat Cruise & Wildlife Viewing
Start early with a guided nature walk inside Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary to spot birds, butterflies and traces of wildlife. Later, enjoy the highlight — a peaceful boat cruise on Periyar Lake which offers excellent chances to see elephants, sambar, gaur, and many bird species along the shoreline.
Afternoon: Relax at the lodge or join an optional bamboo rafting / kayaking session (extra cost). Evening cultural program featuring Kalaripayattu or local folk performance (subject to availability).
Cardamom Trails & Plantation Immersion
After breakfast, head out for a deeper spice plantation tour — learn harvesting techniques, processing methods and enjoy a spice tasting session. Participate in a hands-on cooking demonstration to discover Kerala flavors.
Optional: Guided trek along the cardamom trails or an eco jeep safari to explore wildlife edges. Return to the plantation for a relaxed evening and locally-sourced dinner.
Chellarkovil Viewpoint & Village Walk
Drive to Chellarkovil Viewpoint for panoramic views of the Western Ghats and the tea-cardamom estates. Spend time exploring local viewpoints and photographing the misty hills.
Afternoon: Enjoy a guided village walk to meet local families, visit the spice market and learn about traditional life. Evening at leisure with an optional campfire (seasonal) and storytelling.
Tip: Carry a light jacket for mornings/evenings — hill temperatures can be cool.
Checkout & Departure via Kochi (Optional Fort Kochi Half-Day)
After breakfast, check out from the plantation and drive back to Cochin / Ernakulam for your onward journey. If your flight/train is later in the day, opt for a half-day tour of Fort Kochi: visit the Chinese fishing nets, St. Francis Church, Mattancherry Palace and the Jewish Synagogue.
Drop at Cochin International Airport/Railway Station for your departure.
