Legoland Malaysia Resort Day Out in Johor Bahru
Legoland Malaysia in Iskandar Puteri, Johor, is Asia's first Legoland and the single biggest draw for Indian families combining Singapore with Malaysia, since it sits about 25 minutes from the Tuas Second Link and roughly 45 minutes from Singapore's city centre.
The park has seven themed zones. Miniland is the highlight, with Asian landmarks built from over 30 million Lego bricks, including the Taj Mahal, Petronas Twin Towers, Angkor Wat and a Bollywood-style set piece. Younger children stay in Lego Kingdoms and Imagination, while older kids head for The Dragon roller coaster, Project X and the Ninjago ride. The adjoining Water Park is a separate ticket and works well in Johor's year-round 30-33°C heat, and Lego Ninjago World plus the Sea Life aquarium round out the complex.
Most Indian travellers do it as a full-day trip from Kuala Lumpur by flight to Senai Airport, by ETS train, or as a side trip from Singapore. Staying at the on-site Legoland Hotel with themed rooms is popular with families travelling with children under 10. Indian vegetarian food is limited inside, so plan meals around the Malaysian and Western food courts or carry snacks.
