Overview

A three-city honeymoon that adds Penang's heritage streets to the usual Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi combination. George Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, gives couples a day of street art on Armenian Street, the Kek Lok Si temple complex, Penang Hill's funicular and a very good street food scene including Little India on Lebuh Pasar.

Kuala Lumpur handles the city sightseeing and shopping, then a short flight brings you to Langkawi for two beach nights with the SkyCab, Sky Bridge and island hopping. Transfers between Penang and Langkawi are by ferry or flight depending on schedules.

Six nights allow one relaxed day in each place instead of rushing. Weather is best February to April, when Penang averages 31°C days, and June to August for calmer Andaman seas. Honeymoon decoration and one candlelight dinner in Langkawi are included.

Itinerary

Day1

Arrival in Kuala Lumpur

Arrive at Kuala Lumpur International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Bukit Bintang. After freshening up, spend the evening at KLCC Park watching the Lake Symphony fountain show against the Petronas Twin Towers, then walk across to Suria KLCC. Dinner can be at any of the Indian restaurants near Jalan Masjid India or the busy stalls of Jalan Alor. Honeymoon cake and bed decoration are waiting in the room.

Day2

Kuala Lumpur Sightseeing & Batu Caves

Morning city tour covers Merdeka Square, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, National Mosque, National Monument and a photo stop at Istana Negara, followed by Batu Caves with its golden Murugan statue and 272 steps. The afternoon is free for shopping at Pavilion KL, Lot 10 and Berjaya Times Square, or an optional Petronas Skybridge visit if slots are available. Overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

Day3

Fly to Penang & Batu Ferringhi Evening

Check out and fly to Penang, a flight of about an hour. Transfer to your hotel at Batu Ferringhi or in George Town. Spend the afternoon at leisure by the beach or pool. In the evening, browse the Batu Ferringhi night market for souvenirs and T-shirts, or head into George Town for dinner on Chulia Street. Couples staying in George Town can walk to the Esplanade for sea breeze and street food.

Day4

George Town Heritage & Penang Hill

A full day in Penang starting with Kek Lok Si, the largest Buddhist temple complex in Malaysia, and its seven-tier Pagoda of Ten Thousand Buddhas. Continue to Penang Hill for the funicular train ride to 830 metres, where the air is cooler and the island view stretches to the Penang Bridge. Afternoon is for George Town's UNESCO core: the Kids on Bicycle mural on Armenian Street, Cheong Fatt Tze Blue Mansion, Khoo Kongsi clan house and Little India for a masala tea break.

Day5

Penang to Langkawi & Sky Bridge

Check out and travel to Langkawi by ferry from Swettenham Pier or by short flight, as per the day's schedule. On arrival, transfer to your hotel near Pantai Cenang. In the afternoon, ride the Panorama Langkawi SkyCab up Gunung Mat Cincang and walk the Sky Bridge for views across the Andaman Sea. Return to Cenang for sunset, then a private candlelight dinner arranged for the two of you.

Day6

Langkawi Island Hopping & Leisure

Board a shared speedboat for island hopping: the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden on Dayang Bunting, eagle feeding where Brahminy kites circle low, and a beach halt at Beras Basah. Back by afternoon, the rest of the day is free. Add a Kilim Geoforest Park mangrove cruise with bat caves and fish farms, a couple spa session, or duty-free shopping at Cenang and Kuah. Sunset drinks on the beach round off the day.

Day7

Departure from Langkawi

Breakfast at the hotel, then check out. If your flight is later in the day, visit the Langkawi Craft Complex or the Eagle Square at Kuah for a final photograph, and stock up on duty-free chocolates. Transfer to Langkawi International Airport for the onward journey, usually via Kuala Lumpur. Our representative helps with the airport formalities.
