Overview

Three very different settings in five nights: the city buzz of Kuala Lumpur, cool mountain air at Genting Highlands and beach days in Langkawi. Genting sits at about 1,800 metres where temperatures stay near 16-22°C through the year, so couples get one night of blankets, mist and the Awana SkyWay cable car ride over rainforest.

Kuala Lumpur covers Batu Caves, Merdeka Square and the KLCC fountain show, with free time for Bukit Bintang shopping. Langkawi brings the SkyCab, the Sky Bridge and island hopping to Dayang Bunting, plus two nights on Pantai Cenang.

The route works round the year, but February to April and June to September give the driest beach weather. Genting is popular with Indian families during summer holidays, so rooms there are confirmed early. Includes honeymoon room decoration and one candlelight dinner.

Itinerary

Day1

Arrival in Kuala Lumpur & Evening at KLCC

Arrive at KLIA and transfer to your hotel in the Bukit Bintang area. After check-in, keep the evening easy with a visit to KLCC Park for the fountain show below the Petronas Twin Towers and a stroll through Suria KLCC. Dinner is on your own; Little India on Jalan Masjid India and the food stalls of Jalan Alor are both close by. Honeymoon cake and room decoration are arranged at the hotel.

Day2

City Tour, Batu Caves & Free Shopping Time

A half-day tour covers Merdeka Square, the Sultan Abdul Samad Building, the National Monument, the National Mosque and a photo stop at Istana Negara. Continue to Batu Caves, the limestone cave temple with the 42-metre Lord Murugan statue and 272 coloured steps. Afternoon is free. Couples often use it for Pavilion KL and Lot 10 shopping, an Aquaria KLCC visit, or a couple massage in Bukit Bintang. Return to the hotel for overnight in Kuala Lumpur.

Day3

Drive to Genting Highlands & Awana SkyWay

Check out after breakfast and drive about an hour north to Genting Highlands through the Titiwangsa range. Board the Awana SkyWay cable car for a ten-minute glide over rainforest canopy to the hilltop, with a stop at Chin Swee Caves Temple on the way up. Check in at a hotel in the Resorts World complex. The evening is free for the indoor arcades, Sky Avenue mall and the cool mountain air, with temperatures often dipping to 16°C after dark.

Day4

Genting to Langkawi & Sky Bridge

Descend by cable car and drive to Kuala Lumpur airport for the flight to Langkawi. Transfer to your beach hotel at Pantai Cenang. In the afternoon, take the Panorama Langkawi SkyCab to the top station on Gunung Mat Cincang and walk the curved Sky Bridge, suspended 660 metres above sea level. Head back for sunset on Cenang beach, followed by your private candlelight dinner with a set menu of grilled seafood or vegetarian options.

Day5

Island Hopping & Langkawi at Leisure

Morning speedboat island hopping visits the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden on Dayang Bunting Island, an eagle feeding bay where Brahminy kites swoop close to the boat, and Beras Basah for a sandy stop. Afternoon is free for duty-free shopping in Cenang, a mangrove cruise in Kilim Geoforest Park as an add-on, or simply the hotel pool. Sunset from the beach shacks along Cenang is the standard end to the day.

Day6

Departure from Langkawi

After breakfast and check-out, use any spare time for last-minute chocolate and perfume shopping at Kuah town's duty-free outlets or the Langkawi Craft Complex. Transfer to Langkawi International Airport for your flight home, usually connecting through Kuala Lumpur. Our local team assists with luggage and check-in.
